Gerard Butler Still Mourns The Loss Of A House

Gerard Butler still Mourns the Loss of a House due to a Fire. Gerard Butler is one of the stars who lost a house last year in the natural fire near Malibu in California.   The loss was hard for the Scottish actor, he says. "It is a sad and drastic experience when you walk to your house, and you see it on fire," says the 300 actor. "At first, I thought: put my shoulders to the wheel and rebuild everything. But then it takes a while until the land is passable because of the toxic soil. Then all kinds of permits are needed to build, and the entire foundation appears to be damaged." Due to all setbacks, Butler has not yet begun to rebuild. The 49-year-old actor finds support in the community in Malibu, where several stars live. "During these times, you will discover that there is...

Our correspondent in the US Björn Soenens and video journalist Daan Wallis made this documentary about the drug crisis. The epidemic not only affects the homeless or unemployed or people with hopeless lives. They are teachers, pilots, police officers, firefighters, lawyers, bankers. It's everybody. About 200 people die every day from heroin, fentanyl or oxycodone. Why is the Protest Escalating in Hong Kong and China Preparing for a Raid?

Why is the Protest Escalating in Hong Kong and China Preparing for a Raid? The protest in Hong Kong is becoming increasingly grim, although the controversial extradition law to China was already put in the fridge last month.   Today the demonstrators succeeded in paralyzing the busy Hong Kong international airport. But what do they want? And how long will Beijing continue to watch from the sidelines? The unrest in Hong Kong began on 9 June with the first mass demonstration against a controversial extradition law. That would make it possible to extradite suspects from Hong Kong to China, where the Communist Party controls the court. Hong Kong has been part of China again since 1997 but still has its legal system. Hundreds of thousands of people came to the streets, many young peopl...
