UCB and Microsoft Team Up to Look for Drugs

The Belgian chemical multinational UCB and Microsoft have entered into an agreement to search more efficiently for new drugs together.

The two companies report this in a press release.

UCB and Microsoft are already collaborating in the global quest for antivirals, with Microsoft technology’s computing power helping scientists work faster.

That collaboration is now being expanded to a strategic multi-year collaboration where Microsoft will provide cloud services and artificial intelligence.

In this way, UCB wants to find drugs more quickly, including for conditions other than covid-19.
