The US authorities have approved a new rapid test for the coronavirus for emergencies. The test shows whether someone is infected within a few minutes.
The agency that checks drugs, including FDA, authorized the use of the test that can detect the coronavirus in almost two minutes, according to producer Bodysphere.
The FDA already approved the Abbott Laboratories test last week, which also indicates the result within minutes.
Bodysphere now wants to bring the test to the “front lines” as soon as possible.
The test is performed as a glucose (blood sugar) test, but it is intended for professionals only.
