Elton John Appears On British Stamps

Elton John appears on British Stamps. Elton John (72) will soon adorn a British set of special stamps.

On the occasion of his fiftieth artist anniversary, a sheet with the covers of his most famous albums is released.

The British postal company Royal Mail has announced this.

The Elton set consists of twelve stamps.

Among other things, the record covers of Honky Château and Ice On Fire can be seen on it.

“It is still soft to say that I am surprised.

I could never have imagined that I would ever be on a stamp,” Elton responds.

“It’s fantastic, a great honour.”

There is at least one person who will soon stand in line for a sheet of Elton stamps.

“I think I’ll just start sending letters so I can lick the back of Elton’s head,” says Boy George.

The singer is the first living solo artist to receive his own set of stamps.

The Royal Mail made stamps from David Bowie earlier, shortly after his death.

Sheets of The Beatles and Pink Floyd also appeared on the market.
