President Donald Trump has hailed the report that the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer’s corona vaccine is 90 percent effective in preventing infection as “big news.”
According to him, a vaccine is coming soon. He has previously said several times that a vaccine would become available this year.
Trump also referred on Twitter to upward stock market prices.
The number of corona infections and deaths in the US continues to increase.
According to some observers, the president has lost the election partly because his government has responded inadequately to the corona pandemic.
Winner Joe Biden will present a task force on Monday with experts to create a plan to combat the outbreak.
