Navalny Shares Photo From Hospital: I Can Breathe Again

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny shared a cheerful photo from the hospital in Berlin. He sits up in bed, surrounded by family members.

Navalny writes that he can breathe without support again.

“Hello, Navalny here, I miss you all,” the politician wrote on Instagram. “There is not much I can do, but yesterday I was able to breathe on my own all day long”.

The hospital had already announced that things were going better for the Kremlin critic, who could also leave his bed again for short periods.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s well-known opponent ended up in a Russian hospital in August.

He had suddenly become very ill on board a domestic flight and was eventually transferred to Germany for further treatment.

There, researchers found that Navalny has been poisoned with a novichok nerve poison.
