Armenia Reports Many Injured in the Capital Nagorno-Karabakh

The capital of the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, Stepanakert, has been attacked by Azerbaijani forces, according to the Armenian government.

 

The Armenian Ministry of Defense says there have been many injuries, mostly civilians. Infrastructure would also have been damaged.

The French government reports that the two French journalists from Le Monde who were injured in the town of Martoeni on Thursday are currently being evacuated.

They would have already left Stepanakert.

The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh flared up on Sunday. More than 120 fatalities and many injuries have been reported, including civilians.
