Trump Engages in Legal Battle With Twitter and Facebook Bosses

Former US President Donald Trump, who has been banned mainly from social media, will file lawsuits against Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

He will reportedly announce the legal steps on Wednesday, news site Axios reports based on insiders.

Trump has long argued with tech giants Facebook and Twitter over freedom of speech and censorship. As a result, the former president has been banned entirely by Twitter.

Facebook deleted him for two years. The bans came after the violent attack on the Capitol on January 6 by Trump supporters.

The legal battle is backed by the America First Policy Institute, a nonprofit organization that stands behind Trump’s policies. These would be collective lawsuits, in which steps are taken on behalf of a larger group.
