In the UK, the death toll from coronavirus infection has risen by 717 to 11,329. The victims were all in a hospital.
The Ministry of Health announced this on Monday.
The number of British people who contracted the dreaded infectious disease increased by more than 4,300, almost a thousand less than the previous two days.
This brought the total number of registered patients to more than 88,500.
